JJ Collins “Coon Island” Park

This island owned by Columbia County provides a decent place to camp, though in summer months is can be busy with motorized boats. The serene 23-acre island offers outstanding bird-watching, a 1.5 mile nature trail and a restful lunch spot with picnic tables. There are docks on either side of the island.
