Safety Alert: NOTE: The Willamette Falls Locks are not in operation, so you must arrange for a portage via car if you want to head downstream.

Also know as Willamette Park in West Linn, this property makes an excellent put-in for a short trip up to Willamette Narrows and a great take-out for longer trips. You can park in the porous parking lot near the ball fields, and launch from the beach at the mouth of the Tualatin River or, you can park near the boat ramp (limited parking spaces available if you do not have a trailer) and launch from there. Keep in mind the boat ramp can be very busy in the summer months.

    Overnight parking is free and problem-free. You can park anywhere EXCEPT the trailer parking spots. We used the river bank rather than the boat launch which was very convenient and easy. Suggest advising West Linn Police, 503-635-0283, to advise that you will be leaving cars overnight.
