Dangerous strainer!

Approach with extreme caution, especially at higher flows! This island has recently been divided in two by the river. In March of 2013 a large strainer comprised of woody debris was observed here at the upstream end of the island in the middle of the new channel which now divides the island. Current flows into the strainer so be ALERT as you approach, and look to the far right channel for a possible alternative route. When in doubt— get out and scout!
