Goat Island
This island contains a fantastic heron rookery of at least 30 nests, and in the springtime paddlers can hear the heron chicks chattering overhead. Primitive camping is available on the downstream end of the island, although the area is fairly exposed, attracts power boaters in warm weather, and has no amenities.
